CBD 101: What is CBD?
CBD is a potent plant extract known for its health benefits and has been used in healthcare for thousands of years. CBD is just one of more than 110 cannabinoids extracted from a proprietary strain of the hemp plant. Hemp and cannabis, the plant that produces marijuana, are not the same. Cannabis is typically very high in THC (the cannabinoid that produces the psychoactive effect, or ‘high’) and hemp is very high in CBD and contains almost no THC. Daks Organics products are 100% THC free so you can get all of the therapeutic benefits without any psychoactive effect. Experts in the fields of science and medicine all accept the therapeutic capabilities of CBD. Doctors believe that combining CBD with other naturally occurring cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids, found in this special strain of hemp, also offer a wealth of health advantages like no other in the food or dietary supplement industries today.

The Steps to Producing an Industry Leading Product
1. Superior Farming
Daks Organics’ products all start with our natural proprietary strains of phytocannabinoid-rich hemp. The hemp we use is grown in the United States in nutrient-rich soil. Our farmers, operating under strict guidelines, use organic practices.
Not only does the state-of-the-art farming process improve the quality of our natural proprietary strains, but it regulates our products, making sure that they are safe and of the highest potency and consistency on the market.
2. Raw Hemp Processing
Once harvested, our plants are dried and warehoused. When ready for production, they are milled, turning them into a powder. The milling process complies with the highest quality standards in the industry. They are then shipped to our processing and manufacturing facility in Colorado.
3. Extraction and Solids Separation
Our hemp extraction and purification process is proprietary, and ensures that all of hemp’s beneficial phytocannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids are preserved. Our process also gets rid of unwanted compounds while preventing natural molecules from degrading.
What is the result? The highest quality hemp oil available for you. Daks Organics’ products contain a wide spectrum of beneficial natural compounds. While CBD in of itself offers many benefits, a growing body of research has discovered that a phytocannabinoid-rich product leads to multiplying benefits, known as the Entourage Effect.
Once extracted, we then press the oil to separate it from undesirable plant solids, such as certain waxes.
The oil is then distilled, separating the hemp extract from the food-grade ethanol used in the extraction process. We are one of just a handful of facilities in the world that uses food-grade ethanol.
5. THC Removal and Refining
A significant step in the process is removing the most miniscule traces of THC. THC is the compound that produces the “high” associated with the plant. We use our proprietary technology to also remove other compounds like, wax, chlorophyll, and plant pigments. It is then "washed" and "polished," creating the highest quality, THC-free CBD oil available.
Due to our products being 100% THC free, we are able to ship them across state lines, to anywhere in the country.
6. In-House and Third-Party Lab Testing
Every production run is tested for quality and potency, making sure that all of the cannabinoids, essential fatty acids, terpenes and phytonutrients are consistent and pure.
Every batch is put through rigorous testing in our in-house laboratory. When it is approved, it earns a certificate of analysis that we then make available for anyone to read. Third-party labs are also used to verify the certificates.
7. Our Proprietary Nanoemulsion Technology
Some of our products require an additional processing step. The raw hemp oil needs to be transformed into nano-sized emulsions. This is what makes it the most bioavailable CBD in the industry.
Our particles are 25-60 nanometers, whereas our competitors' hemp oil particles are anywhere between 150 and 5000. Our smaller size gives them better bioavailability, leading to much more effective absorption. Our softgel formulas are at least two times more bioavailable than oil-based products.
This means that you can use less of our product to achieve the same benefit as most of our competitors’ products.
